The leaf springs were pretty clapped out after 18 years and 142,xxx miles. So were the shocks. After putting on 400+ miles for the first WOHVA work day I decided to put the new suspension I have had for over a year in it. I didn't want the height, it worked how it was but the ride was getting brutal and my back was paying for it. I had a BDS suspension all set for it but my good friend Woody of IH8MUD.COM got my hooked up with a Heystee Parabolic suspension from the Netherlands. http://www.parabolicsuspension.com/ I'll get in to the details of the hookup when I get them. All I know right now is I took a lift out of a friends garage and put it on my cruiser and IT ROCKS! The truck rides like it never has before, honestly they feel as good as coils. I got WAY more height than I wanted but I'm sure it will settle a bit over time. Here are some preliminary pictures. Forgive the lighting, some are in the shop where the work was done. Click on the pictures for a full view. Im not teh inteweb maztr yit.
Looking good Hank. We'll have to test out the new suspension hauling wood in Omro.

I got comments about the custom headlight bezel when I used the 'Cruiser for the Pipeline work day.
A few more improvements have been performed over the last month. Front axle is cut and turned for more caster, steering is crossover design now. Front shocks are remounted and the front end is locked. Rocker panels have been replaced, fenders have been shortened, 1/4's are much shorter, rear bumper has been replaced and tail lights have been protected. Here are a couple garage shots. I didn't get home until 10 last night so these are from this morning.
It's painted merely so it doesn't rust. I've had real good luck with the paint on the front bumper so it's the same stuff.
rear protection. All the tube work is welded to the frame. It's not going anywhere.
Lots more clearance in the back. No more back blade and no more hitch/furrow.
Looks good, like you should almost be able to go where ther Jeeps do.
Death wobble cured?
DW is history. Yes, I should be able to rescue jeeps from odd places now.
I like it!

Um, yeah.....
Driver's side mirror? Right, that was spotter error.
Thanks for reminding me. I keep forgetting to order one. I'm going to lose the power or spend $322. Manual it is.
