WOHVA Mole Lake Trails Work Weekend Update (June 27th & 28th)

Thanks go out to all those WOHVA Trail Volunteers who dedicated a weekend to again assist in trail maintenance and development on the Sokaogon/Chippewa Tribal Lands in Mole Lake, Wisconsin.

Besides the WOHVA Volunteers at Mole Lake this weekend, the area also enjoyed a influx of two-wheeled enthusiasts attending the Great Northern Bike Rally.  There were an assortment of food and clothing vendors available around the event.

The results of the weekend are that WOHVA should now have a clean and accurate map of the 4WD Trails on the Tribal Lands.  WOHVA also has finally hung two of the gates which were readied last fall.  They look great and will look even better when the final signage is installed on them.

WOHVA also examined the fire site and will assist our partners at the Sokaogon/Chippewa in addressing repair.

Lastly, WOHVA began work on two new sections of trail.  Additional trail is important as it not only supplies new experiences to riders, but it also allows WOHVA to rotate trails as they become impacted from use.  This down time is essential to sustainability.

Volunteers ROCK!  And, WOHVA has some of the most dedicated and best trained Trail Volunteers in the Badger State.

    Happy Trails,
