    WOHVA Update...4.19.08

What's WOHVA done to advance OHV recreation this week?

WOHVA had a short meeting with State Representative Al Ott and thanked him for his support of AB 600.

WOHVA attended and gave public comment at the Wisconsin Governor's State Trails Council.

WOHVA met with SM Foti and Alberts & Associates Governmental Lobbying to discuss the possibility of contracting with them to forward Pro-OHV Legislation when the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate meet again in January of 2009.

The WOHVA Mole Lake Trails Project Team again met to plan the upcoming trail workdays on the Mole lake Indian Reservation.

The WOHVA OHV/OHM Trails Pass/Registration Team met to again discuss the upcoming legislation requiring both a 4WD & OHV Trail Pass for Badger State Trails.  WOHVA plans to have this legislation introduced in the Wisconsin Legislature in January of 2009.

WOHVA spoke with an attorney to assist us in drafting the OHM/4WD Trail Pass Legislation.

WOHVA spoke with an attorney to position a 501 (c)(3) in such a position to be able to acquire grant money if/when a trail pass program for OHM/4WD becomes a reality!

What did you as a WOHVA member do to "Forward OHV Recreation" this week?

    Happy Trails,

Thank you for the summary.  Many people may not have the time to follow all of the particular details regarding the topics that you've posted, this summary is very effective to communicate these details.  I believe that there are a great many of us that underestimate everything that is required to support our rights, and this highlights the energy and commitment that occurs that happens behind the scenes in order to protect our rights.

As mentioned on another thread, Thank you for the update. I agree with Stephen in that it is difficult to keep up with all of the things that are going on within WOHVA.

This is a very effective manner in which to convey updated. Thanks again.

The trail gods smile on me...
