Congratulations to our Winners!

Every year, WOHVA presents the "Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association Volunteer Appreciation Award" to a WOHVA member who has made outstanding contributions to forwarding OHV recreation here in the Badger State.  With all of the awesome volunteers who are members of WOHVA, I assure you it is no easy task to narrow it down to just one deserving candidate.

This year, WOHVA did something a little different.  Rather then have the WOHVA Board or Directors determine the award winner, the BOD appointed a selection commitee.  The committee consisted of past award winners (Sam Stensberg -2006 & Jim Goeldner - 2007) and WOHVA's Executive Director.

This prestigious award includes an individual plaque denoting the award winner and his/her contribution to OHV recreation in Wisconsin and additionally his/her name is added to the traveling plaque which WOHVA proudly displays whenever we set up our WOHVA promotional display.

The individual award reads as follows:  The Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association on this 15th day of March, 2008 proudly presents the "WOHVA Volunteer of the Year Award" to Tim Duenkel in recognition of the significant contributions he has made to promoting WOHVA and Off-Highway Vehicle recreation in the Badger State.

Please join WOHVA in congratulating Tim on earning the 2008 award!

Other winners who shared some of the stage with Tim at our recent Convention were the winners from the "WOHVA 500 Raffle."  WOHVA printed 1000 raffle tickets.  Proceeds from this raffle will be used to fund liability insurance costs associated with our recent access to the Sokaogon Chippewa Mole Lake Reservation and our upcoming Great Northern Trail Ride (August 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th).

Those winners are:  Jenni Hansen of Waupaca, WI - $500 Gas Card, Cotty Barrett of West Bend, WI - $500 Gas Card, Eleanore Fischer of Fredonia, WI - $500 Grocery Card, Ron Entringer of Sheboygan, WI - $500 Grocery Card & Jeff Olson of Crivitz, WI - $500 U.S. Savings Bond.

Congratulations to all those winners and thanks to everyone who supported WOHVA and responsible OHV recreational access by purchasing a ticket!  Thanks also to all those dedicated volunteers who worked extremely hard selling tickets!!!
